Houston Chronicle: EPA’s OK of cleanup plan is ‘victory’ for residents

On September 9th, the EPA handed down an important decision, approving the final design plan for the Northern Pit of the San Jacinto River Waste Pits Superfund Site. The approval came with a number of conditions designed to ensure the companies that are responsible for the contaminated waste site perform the cleanup under the EPA’s mandate.
