Free Virtual Training: Environmental Exposures and Your Health

Join us for a free virtual training designed to help community leaders and residents better understand environmental exposures and their potential health impacts. Participants will learn practical ways to identify concerns, communicate them effectively, and engage with agencies, clinicians, and decision makers. No technical background is required.

Our featured speaker, Dr. Arica Brandford, PhD, JD, RN, CHW, is a nationally experienced community health and environmental justice leader. She serves as the inaugural Dorothy and Mickey Ables Community Outreach and Engagement Distinguished New Century Chair and Associate Director of Community Outreach and Engagement at Houston Methodist Neal Cancer Center. Her work focuses on cancer prevention, education, screening, patient navigation, and reducing health disparities in underserved communities. With nearly two decades of experience working alongside communities affected by environmental and public health harms, Dr. Brandford brings a powerful combination of science, public health, law, and community engagement to this training.
